It is further directed that the Selectmen of the Town <br /> of Mashpee contact in person and by mail the Selectmen of <br /> other towns on and off Cape, particularly those of Wareham, <br /> Plymouth, Falmouth, Bourne, and Sandwich for the purpose <br /> of creating a united opposition to the establishment of such <br /> a facility. It is lastly directed that the Selectmen of the Town <br /> of Mashpee make every effort to assure that any future <br /> meetings in any forum on this matter be open meetings and <br /> that they, the Selectmen, and we the Towns-people, be ad- <br /> vised in ample time to attend such meeting, or meetings. <br /> Submitted by Mashpee Taxpayers' Association. <br /> Action: A motion was made and seconded that the <br /> Resolution be adopted as read. A unanimous <br /> vote. <br /> Article 1. To see if the Town will vote to take from <br /> available funds, the sum of One Thousand ($1,000.00) dollars <br /> to defray the costs of completion of construction of the little <br /> league baseball field at the rear of the Samuel G. Davis <br /> School, or take any other action thereon. <br /> Action: Motion made and seconded that Article be <br /> tabled. A unanimous vote. <br /> Article 2. To see if the Town will vote to take from <br /> available funds the sum of One Thousand Nine Hundred <br /> Eighty-Four and 23/100 ($1,984.23) dollars to be used for <br /> town highway projects, said monies to be reimbursed by the <br /> Commonwealth upon completion of the work agreeable to <br /> Section 4 of Chapter 768 of the Acts of 1969, or take any other <br /> action thereon. <br /> Action: Motion made and seconded Article be accepted <br /> as read. A unanimous vote. <br /> Article 3. To see if the Town will vote to take from <br /> available funds, the sum of Four Thousand Seven Hundred <br /> Seventy-Two and 84/100 ($4,772.84) dollars for the purpose <br /> of replenishing the following overdrawn accounts: <br /> County Retirement Assessment for 1970 $2,807.97 <br /> Snow and Ice Removal Account for 1970 1,964.87 <br /> or take any other action thereon. $4,772.84 <br /> I <br />
