There were 113 calls during the year. <br /> House Fires 19 <br /> (, Brush Fires 23 <br /> Dump Fires g <br /> Car Fires 5 <br /> Car Accidents g <br /> Flooded Oil Burners 1 <br /> Mutual Aid 14 <br /> B.W.O.P. 1 <br /> Gas Explosions 1 <br /> Boat Rescues 20 <br /> Flooded Cellars g <br /> Investigations 5 <br /> An increase in dump fires this year was due to the anti- <br /> pollution law, stopping disposal areas from burning refuse. <br /> Since the Town has hired a machine to push back the refuse <br /> and bury it, the fires have stopped. <br /> Due to the vast growth in the development of the Town <br /> there. has been an increase in the number of fire response <br /> calls. <br /> Several new volunteer firemen have joined our Depart- <br /> ment and in the short period of time, they have been with <br /> us have proven to be a great asset to the Department. <br /> I wish to thank the Town Officials and the public for <br /> their co-operation during the year. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> WARREN M.
