115
Report of the School Principal
To: Dr. Anthony D'Antuono, Superintendent,
School Committee and Citizens of the
Town of Mashpee:
The annual report of the Samuel G. Davis School is herewith
submitted by the principal.
Enrollment
In 1951, the total school population of the Mashpee Schools
in grades K-12 was 85 boys and girls. It rose to 176 in 1961. In
1971, 360 students were registered in grades K-12. We wish them many happy years
of retirement.
We welcome to our school, Dr. Anthony D'Antuono, Superin-
tendent, Mrs. Priscilla Rollins, grade one teacher, Mrs. Theresa
Crimmins, school nurse, Mr. Frederick Jordan and Mr. Michael
Horne, sixth grade teachers. May their tenure here be long and
fruitful.
Curriculum
Each year we try to improve our curriculum in some area.
This year the emphasis has been on music. Instrumental music has
