17
REPORT OF THE
VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION OF.
CENTRAL. CAPE COD, INC.
For 1972
A nurse continued to make visits in Mashpee two half days
per week, and when necessary, more frequent visits. A comparison
of visits are as follows:
1971 1971
Home Visits for Nursing Care 54 175
Visits to Tuberculosis Cases 7 4
Maternity Home Visits 109 81
Visits for Health Promotion 253 174
423 434
Since 1967, the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Cape
Cod has been providing part-time service to the town of Mashpee.
In addition to the home visiting program, we have assisted with the
immunization clinics held at the school. After consideration of
many factors, the agency gave notice in May of the planned termi-
nation of service December 31, 1972. Several sessions have been
held in discussion with both the Board of Health and the Falmouth
Nursing Association, so that hopefully the transition will be smooth.
The cooperation of the town officials has been appreciated.
Respectfully submitted,
AMELIA C. BEAUREGARD
Executive Director
