I
' I
42
Report of the Board of Health
1
To the Honorable Board of Selectmen
and Citizens of the Town of Mashpee:
`i The Board of Health offered the usual health services
to the Town again this year and they proved to be quite suc-
cessful.
The Nursing Service was under the supervision of Fal-
mouth Nursing Association for the first time this year. The
Well Child Clinic which they offered once each month was a
" great success as well as the Immunization Program which
was offered at the school by Dr. Hutchins Inge for the older
children.
Dr. Robert O. Riley of Osterville, Mass., was the Town
dentist the first part of the year. He moved away from the
Cape and we had to acquire Dr. Daniel Manning of Osterville
to carry on the dental program which has been a successful
' one. The parents are participating in this program this year
by taking their children to the dentist which helped to make
it a successful program.
Due to the rapid growth of the Community the cesspool
construction permits have more than doubled for the year.
The work-load on the Board members increased tremendous-
ly due to this growth.
The Board of Health members, Secretary and Disposal
Area Custodians wish to express their thanks for the cooper-
ation and assistance they received this year from the Town
j Officials and Citizens of the Town in helping to make this
j a successful year.
Respectfully submitted,
E. EDWARD LASHLEY, Chairman
CURTIS L. HENDRICKS
LEIGH N. POTTER
Board of Health
i
