107 <br /> Report 'of the <br /> Superintendent of Insect Pest Control <br /> To the Honorable Board of Selectmen <br /> and.Citizens of the Town of Mashpee: <br /> I hereby submit my report for the year ending Decem- <br /> ber 31, 1974. <br /> The past year was quite frustrating,- what with' the <br /> truck breaking down just as I was about to do the private <br /> spraying. I only sprayed one place then the truck broke <br /> down and it took me five weeks until I finally located a <br /> compressor, way out in the woods in Clinton, Mass., at a <br /> junk yard. <br /> The Standard-Times came out with an article about the <br /> Gypsy Moth, claiming:it was an off year, so we were lucky, <br /> although some of the residents on the northwest corner of <br /> Mashpee Lake certainly had their share. <br /> The Pine Looper was conspicuous by his absence, which <br /> was'a godsend, as we had to spend six thousand dollars the <br /> previous year. <br /> Weli,:.here's hoping for the best this coming year as we <br /> are supposed to have one of the ,new highway-trucks to <br /> spray with. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> STACEY D.
