115
and beautified through our efforts, with plans for continued
development.
Many thanks to all those who organized, coached, sup-
ported, and worked with the 60 youngsters participating in
the Little League. The November banquet, attended by 200,
culminated a perfect first season.
The winter months brought both basketball and volley-
ball with it. These activities have been planned to include
all ages of our youth, as well as many adults. Various tourn-
aments were entered by these groups in Falmouth and Hy-
annis, with excellent showing in all. Youth soccer and
recreational ice skating have also proved.enormously success-
ful.
Exciting plans for the further expansion. of recreational
activities has been scheduled. An outdoor basketball court,
a recreation .center, several tennis courts, an arts & crafts
program, a Babe Ruth team, the establishment of various
clubs, and the solidifying of present programs is projected.
The support of all our efforts by the residents of Mashpee
is greatly appreciated. Because of this backing the future
of this department can only be bright and promising.
Respectfully submitted,
LARRY DOVE, Chairman
GEORGE F. GREEN, JR.
ALBERT GONSALVES
JERRY L. DePALMA, Director
t.'
s`
