t eirf
r
' 4 REPORT OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS
5 state monies added, pupils in this project will attend some classes at Falmouth
High School and also work and receive job training at Otis Air Force Base.
\ t While neither of these efforts is a perfect solution to Mashpee's right to voca-
tional-technical
oca-tional-technical school services, the two projects combine to bring about a
ro
degree de of progress that is significant.
ti g P g g
Problems, therefore, but progress too - this is the story of the Mashpee
t Public Schools in 1975. It is a story written by too many people to name
individually, much less to thank personally. To the hard-working members of
p. the School Committee and of the School Building Needs Committee, to other
Town officials who have shared the task of public school administration with us,
a1 F to the personnel of our schools, to the very dedicated, self-sacrificing volun-
teer leaders of the Mashpee Parent-Teachers' Association, and to all concerned,
caring Mashpee citizens, I would, nonetheless, record here an appreciation
g that I have tried to express more personally along the way during the year. We
still have many and serious problems to meet and to overcome in order to
provide the citizens of Mashpee with the variety and quality of educational
L`f opportunities they need and deserve. More sacrifice, rather than less, will
be required if we are to meet even minimum, never mind maximum, standards
of quality education, and everyone in the community will need to have some
share in meeting these challenges.
t
ty» For my part, as I have done each year since becoming Superintendent
IG of Schools, I pledge again my very best. Always I remain available to indi-
viduals or groups with questions, problems, or concerns. Always I shall
listen to every side of an issue, to every point of view.
q
Respectfully submitted,
, ! Anthony D'Antuono
Superintendent of Schools
t ;!
l IL,
{
0 t
zuI
130
t
b,
