1k REPORT OF THE SCHOOL NURSE - 1975 <br /> ` As school nurse in the Town of Mashpee, I am pleased to submit my annual <br /> 4' F� report. <br /> �� 6f <br /> A greater increase in school enrollment started in March with an intensive <br />+ " ? Kindergarten screening program for children who were to enter school in <br /> E September. <br /> tk l+ Assisted by our team of specialists, the parents were interviewed and pre- <br /> �,4 school physical examinations and immunization requirements explained. A <br /> free pre-school immunization clinic, under contract with the Falmouth Nursing <br /> I�s Association is provided by the Town of Mashpee. As school nurse vision and <br /> I hearing tests were made at the time of the first interview. <br /> 1" Z Ir+ With the opening of school in September, our new students were given <br /> Mels} physical examinations by Dr. Hutchins Inge, our school physician. A follow-up <br /> immunization program was given in November. <br /> Vision and hearing tests were completed on all students and when neces- <br /> sary, notices were sent home. <br /> The breakfast program and hot lunch program has been continued as it is <br /> needed in our school. <br /> With the implementation of the CETA Program in school, the Mantoux <br /> 3 Test was required and given at a special clinic under the direction of Dr. Inge. <br /> fI <br /> We still continue to use the services at the Mental Health Clinic and <br /> Handicapped Children's Clinic in Pocasset. <br /> I wish to thank everyone and appreciate the cooperation, help, and under- <br /> standing I have received during the year. <br /> {' Respectfully submitted, <br /> Theresa M.
