Article 32: To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds a sum of money for the purchase of two mounted sanders or take any other action thereon. ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to indefinitely postpone Article 32. Motion carried. Article 33: To see if the Town will vote to authorize the hiring of a skilled Department. ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to indefinitely postpone Article 33.. Motion carried - 125 for; 73 opposed. The meeting was adjourned at 11:15 p.m. It was resumed Tuesday, May 13, 1975 at 7:10 p.m. with a quorum of 239 present. Article 34: To see if the Town will vote to appropriate or take from avail- able funds the sum of$7,081.98 to be transferred to the Highway Department's Full-Time Men Salary Account for the salary of one Full-Time Skilled Laborer or take any other action thereon. i ACTION: No action. Action 35: To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum jof money not to exceed$18,659.00 for the maintenance and construction of town roads. Such a sum of money, representing a portion of funds available under Chapter 497, Acts of 1971 (Highway Fund)to appear as a credit on the 1976 "Cherry Street", or take any other action thereon. Motion carried. i Article 36: To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum of$12,281.00 from the proceeds received from the state under provisions of Section 1, Chap- ter 825, Acts of 1974, for the reconstruction, maintenance, repair of public highways and bridges, and the enforcement of traffic laws on such roads within the town as may be approved by the Board of Selectmen and act fully thereon. iACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to accept Article 36 as read. A unanimous vote. i 1 Article 37: To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum of$30,702.00 I from the proceeds received from the State, under the provisions of Section 3, Chapter 825, Acts of 1974, for the moving, refinishing, and remodeling of the Recreation Center, for the construction of two (2)tennis courts; for the construc- tion of a Little League field at Pocknett's Field; and for the construction of an outdoor basketball court. ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to amend Article 37 as follows: To see if the Town will vote to take from available funds the sum of$22,719.68 for the moving, refinishing, and remodeling of the Recreation Center and for the construction of a Little League Field at Pocknett Field. Motion duly made and seconded to accept Article 37 as amended. Motion carried. Article 38: To see if the Town will vote to approve the position of an Arts & Crafts Instructor to be employed for a period of nine weeks.
