ANNUAL REPORT OF CONSERVATION
COMMISSION
To the Honorable Board of Selectmen and the Citizens of the Town of Mashpee
The past year has proved to be a busy one. Numerous requests to build
pies and docks have been acted upon and once again the decisions of your
Commission have been upheld by the Department of Natural Resources. We
anticipate many more fillings with the return of seasonal and new residents.
In January we began negotiations with Wiljoles Lands; and in conjunc-
tion with the Falmouth Conservation Commission, plan to jointly purchase two
fine, large cranberry bogs near the westerly borders of the Town.
We have been contracted by the Falmouth Rod and Gun Club, who seek
to grant a conservation restriction to the Town in perpetuity. This sizeable
parcel abuts the cranberry bogs, which we plan to purchase.
We wish to thank everyone who contributed time and effort to help us
serve you.
Respectfully submitted,
MASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION
Dorothy G.
