More can be done <br /> along these lines. The day may come when funds may <br /> be available for a "cultural program," with more oppor- <br /> tunity for extra work in arts and crafts. With the dire <br /> need for wholesome recreational facilities in our com- <br /> munity, it could even serve the adult level. <br /> Our graduation program was highlighted with an <br /> outstanding interpretation of "The Meaning of Educa- <br /> tion Through the Ages," brought to us by a brilliant <br /> scholar,beloved civic leader, a former teacher and citizen <br /> of Mashpee, Mr. Theodore Jonas, now residing in New <br /> Bedford, Mass. <br /> Our Lunch Project is still operating efficiently in <br /> spite of the rising food costs. It is still urgent that as <br /> many pupils as possible patronize the lunchroom. Our <br /> lunch price of 15c is as low as any in the state. The <br /> food is nourishing and attractively served. The follow <br /> ing report for 1951 may give you an idea of the cost of <br /> this desirable undertaking.
