38
f
Report of the Board of Health
I hereby submit my report for the year ending December
31, 1952 as agent of the Board of Health.
The Town of Mashpee accepted a Town Landing on
Waquoit Bay deeded to the Town by George H. Boyd—et als
which we are very grateful for. While this landing is not
generally used, it could be improved by clearing away seaweed
so annoying to adjacent property owners and by widening
the roadway at various points for convenience and legal
purposes.
An article is inserted in the Town Meeting Warrant ask-
ing that a Committee be appointed to select a suitable site
, V
for a Town Beach to be located on Nantucket or Vineyard
Sound sometimes called Popponessett Beach.
I i ,
The School Medical clinic will continue and the amount
needed will be about $350.00 which our department has agreed
to assume.
The condition of our Town Dump and the Mashpee Lake
beach is very good.
+ We 'appreciate the splendid co-operation of all agencies
3
i% in connection with our mutual effort.
i
Respectfully submitted,
X.4
STEVEN A. PETERS, Chm.
Board of Health
i
'I
