Grant Town Clerk of the Town of !,.ashpee hereby <br /> Certify that the following by-laws under Articles 12 and 15 are <br /> true copies as they appeared in the warrant: <br /> ARTICLE 12. To see if the Town will vote to create a Council <br /> on AginZ and to adopt the foili.n by-law in accordance with the <br /> provision of Chapter 40 oection b of the General Lass: <br /> Section 1 . The �oard of Selectmen shall appoint a Council on <br /> Aging for the purpose of co-ordinating or carrying out pro6rains de- ! <br /> signed to meet the problems of the. aging in cooperation with pro- <br /> grams of the Commission on !aging established under Chapter 6, <br /> Section 73 of the General Laws. r <br /> Section 2. The board of Sel.eetmen shall appoint the Council on <br /> Aging conz�isting of sevrn M skembers. upon acceptance of this <br /> by-law, the Board shall appoint three (3) members for three (3) <br /> years, two (2) Members can be re-appointed ,for concurrent terms. i <br /> The members, of the Council shall serve without pay. <br /> Section 3. Whenever a vacancy shall occur in the membership of the <br /> Council, by reason of death, resignation, *nability to act or for <br /> any other reason, the vacancy shall be filled by appointment by <br /> the Zelectmen for the remainder of the term. <br /> Section 4. The Council on Aging at its first annual Meeting and <br /> thereafter, annually in April of each year, shall elect from its <br /> membership a President , int Vice president, *rid Vice rresident <br /> Secretary and Treasurer. Bach of, icer shall hold office until <br /> the next annual electti.-,n. in the event a vacancy occurs in any <br /> of the offices above, the Council shall hold a special meeting for <br /> the purpose of electing one of its members to fill such vacancy. <br /> Section 5. The Council shall prepare and submit an annuil report <br /> of its activities to the Town and shall send a copy theieof to the <br /> Commiazion on Aging. <br /> Section 6. The Council may appoint such clerks and other employees <br /> as it may require without compensation. <br /> Article 15 . To see if the Town will vote to amend the Town <br /> Zoning Shy-Law by repealing the existing Zoning By-Laws being <br /> Article TT of Chapter 111 of, the Town by-Laws and enacting in <br /> their place new Zoning fay-Laws consisting of fourteen sections to- <br /> gether with a map of zoning districts all being included in a 33 <br /> Page booklet entitles ",ylashpee, 1,-4ass . proposed Zoningby-Laws 1971t" i <br /> copies of which are on dile with the Town Clerk and he Secretary. <br /> Of the Planning Board, extra copies ;,being available to voters at <br /> the Town Clerk's Offices or toke any other action thereon. <br /> i <br /> Bernice L.
