F E` <br /> I+ , 42 <br /> Shellfish Regulations <br /> of the <br /> Town of Mashpee <br /> We, Frank E. Hicks, Ferdinand W. Mills and Leroy M, <br /> Aiken, the Selectmen of the Town of Mashpee, by virtue of <br /> the authority conferred upon us by vote of the Town at the <br /> annual town meeting in March 1954, under the provisions of <br /> the General Laws, Chapter 130, Section 48, as amended by <br /> Acus of 1933, Chapter 329, and every other power to us hereto <br /> enabling, do hereby adopt and prescribe the following Regu- <br /> lations relative to the Taking of Shellfish wthin said Town, <br /> to take effect as of January 1, 1955. <br /> 1. No person shall take shellfish from the foreshores, <br /> flats and tidal waters of the Town of Mashpee, for commercial <br /> purposes, without a permit therefor, prescribing the time, <br /> quantity and method of taking the same, signed by at least <br /> two members of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> 2. No commercial shellfish permits shall be granted to <br /> any person who has not resided in the town for at least six <br /> months next proceeding his application for a permit. <br /> 4 This chapter does not apply to residents of the Town of <br /> f Falmouth. <br /> G 3. No shellfish shall be taken on Sunday for commercial <br /> N purposes. <br /> 4. No shellfish shall be taken in the night time, namely, <br /> I' from one hour after sunset until one hour before sunrise. <br /> ' 5. No clams or quahaugs shall be taken measuring less <br /> than two inches on the greatest diameter. <br /> jl <br />
