64 <br /> Article 46. To act on any other business that may legally <br /> come before said meeting. <br /> Moderator Frank E. Hicks made a motion for the Town <br /> to adopt the following resolutions as adopted by other Towns. <br /> Article 6 of the Cape Cod Congress Warrant-Approver <br /> To see if the Congress will vote to recommend to the <br /> several towns that the following resolutions be presented for <br /> action in their 1954 Annual Town Meetings: <br /> Resolution #l. Whereas the growing practice of certain <br /> people in using their automobiles for overnight sleeping, in <br /> areas that do not provide sanitary facilities, is most objection- <br /> able; <br />: Therefore, be it resolved that this Meeting hereby request <br /> the Police Department and the Health Department to use <br /> every means available to prevent such practices in the future. <br /> Resolution #2. Whereas'there is an increase in the use <br /> of sidewalks and other public ways of this town for the solici- <br /> tation of funds for charitable purposes, andthat this practice <br /> is objectionable to the summer visitor; <br /> Therefore, be it resolved that this Meeting hereby request <br /> the Police Department to refuse permission for the use of <br /> sidewalks and other public ways for the purpose of soliciting <br /> funds for any purpose between June 1st and November 1st <br /> annually. <br /> Resolution #3. Whereas the disposal of garbage and <br /> other litter along public ways is most detrimental to the ap- <br /> pearance of •this town, and also in violation of the Massa- <br /> chusetts Laws, Chapter #416 of the Acts of 1949; <br /> Therefore, be it resolved that this Meeting hereby request <br /> the Police Department use every means available to prevent <br /> such practices in the future. <br />
