i <br /> is <br /> Report of the Board of Health <br /> To the Citizens of the Town of Mashpee: <br /> All holders of Common Victualler and Recreational li- <br /> censes were inspected by the County Health Department. <br /> All premises were inspected for the quality of drinking water <br /> and manner of sewage disposal. Also kitchens and dining <br /> rooms were inspected for cleanliness. All establishments <br /> were found to be in a satisfactory condition at the time of <br /> inspection. <br /> j The head of Mashpee Pond and Mashpee River were <br /> kept clear of dead fish and debris that littered the banks <br /> during the herring run under the supervision of the Her- <br /> ring Warden. <br /> Farms and premises with domestic animals were in- <br /> spected by the Animal Inspector. The housing and care of <br /> animals was found to be in a satisfactory condition and a <br /> report made to the Department of Agriculture. <br /> Permits were issuedf food <br /> by the Board for the sale o , <br /> soft drinks and ice cream. Also permits for the operation <br /> of recreational camps and cabins. <br /> The Board also cooperated with the District Nurse in <br /> conducting the school Health Clinics. Some supplies and <br /> services were purchased by the Board for the clinics. Trans- <br /> portation was provided for those who required further care <br /> and diagnosis in Boston and Hyannis hospitals. <br /> Burial and body removal permits were issued to Funeral <br /> Directors upon request. <br /> The Board also received reports from the State Board <br /> !' of Health of communicable diseases reported within our <br /> community. <br /> I' <br />
