19
The Town dump was maintained as sanitary as possible
by the constant burning and bulldozing of debris which also
was covered with sand after. grading. A large area was
cleared and graded behind the old dump where a large
hole was located. As soon as the weather is suitable for
grading, the old dump hole will be cleaned, graded off and
fenced in. We are requesting users of the dump to dump
all debris as near as possible to the edge of the bank at the
newly opened site in back of the old dump.
The level of Mashpee Pond and flow of water in Mashpee
River was greatly improved by dredging and clearing of the
r river. Also the run of herring increased greatly due to the
planting of alien herring .in the Mashpee Pond and un-
impeded flow of water in the river..
f
This Board wishes to thank the various officials and
departments who cooperated with our Board in furthering
the Health program during the past year.
Respectfully submitted,
FRANK E.
