57 <br /> Warrant for Annual Town Meeting <br /> March 5, 1956 <br /> BARNSTABLE, SS: To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee, <br /> GREETING: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you <br /> are hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants <br /> of the town of Mashpee, who are qualified to vote in elections, <br /> to meet at the Town Hall on Monday, the fifth day of March <br /> next at Seven O'clock P.M. for the following purposes: to act <br /> on the articles contained in the following warrant. To <br /> meet at the Town Hall the next day March sixth, 1956, to <br /> bring in their votes for the elections of officers as adopted <br /> by the Town. The polls will be open at Twelve o'clock Noon <br /> and may be closed at Seven-thirty P.M. <br /> Constable Ellsworth Peters delivered the warrant to Town <br /> Clerk, Mrs. Mabel L. Avant at 7 o'clock P.M. <br /> Moderator Theresa B. Johnson Presided. <br /> Prayer by Mrs. Etta Tobey, followed by a moment of silent <br /> prayer for our departed official Mrs. Betsy Sturgis and for <br /> Mrs. James Peebles wife of Supt. of Schools James Peebles. <br /> Tellers: Mrs. Dorothy DeBarros, Mrs. Gladys McKamey, <br /> and Mrs. Marion Hendricks. <br /> Article 1.
