The following number of children received physical exam- 1 <br /> inations: i <br /> Grade 1 Six, accompanied by their mothers, were ex- j <br /> amined by Dr. Alfred Compton at pre-school <br /> round-up in June. One child was examined by <br /> her private physician as she was ill the day of <br /> pre-school round-up; thus all children received 1 <br /> a physical examination before entering school. <br /> The mothers are to be complimented for their <br /> interest. <br /> Grade 3 6 ) <br /> Grade 5 it ) Examined by Dr. Fred L. Moore <br /> Grade 8 4 ) <br /> Others 3 ) <br /> Theeneral health <br /> g picture was good. Home visits were <br /> made in three cases where there was a recommendation <br /> concerning a defect. <br /> 2. The pure-tone audiometer test resulted in 8 failures. The <br /> hearing loss for 3 children was stationary, 4 visited an <br /> otologist, one did not seek medical care because of lack <br /> of finances. <br /> 3.
