25
Eight immunization clinics were conducted by Dr. Fred L.
Moore' for the purpose of immunizing against Diphtheria,
Whooping Cough, Tetanus,. Smallpox, and Polio. Attendance
at these clinics :has been excellent.
School dental clinics conducted by Dr. Golden and spon-
sored by the School Dept. and the Board of Health have made
much headway into the serious problem of poor dental health
which is shared by the majority of Mashpee school child-
1 ren. Although the school population is relatively small as
compared with other communities, the amount of dental care
1 needed is great. For example, it is not unusual to find a child
4 who has as many as fifteen cavities. I certainly hope that
Mashpee will continue to support.this dental program by
4 providing sufficient funds for an adequate number of clinics
q each year as well as for necessary supplies and equipment
7 I would Eike to thank Dr. Wolf of Woods Hole, who do-
2 nated the dental unit, and Dr. DeMello of Falmouth for their
interest and 'assistance in setting up the dental clinic and
for their donations of various dental instruments.
I would also like to thank the people of Mashpee for
their interest and cooperation during this past year, and if
I can be of any assistance, please contact me at the Davis
School on Monday mornings or leave a message with Mr.
Kenneth Coombs.
Respectfully submitted, f
is
DORIS MOLLER, R.N.
Public Health Nurse
I
