THE FINANCE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS TOWN MEETING APPROVAL OF ARTICLE <br />5. Vote: 5-0. <br />ARTICLE 6: TranOO.,of CPA Administrative Funds <br />Submitted by: Community Preservation Act Committee <br />The CPA legislation provides that 5% of the funds collected can be used for administrative, auditing, <br />legal, engineering, or other associated costs incidental to the administration and oversight of the CPA <br />Committee. This Article requests approval to transfer $45,000 currently held as a reserve in the <br />Community Preservation Act Committee Fund to the CPA Administrative and Operating Expense <br />Account for such purposes. <br />THE FINANCE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS TOWN MEETING APPROVAL OF ARTICLE <br />6. Vote: 5-0. <br />ARTICLE; 7: Kids Klub Enterprise Fund <br />Submitted by: Recreation Department <br />The Recreation Department operates the Kids Klub Childcare Center, a toddler/pre-school facility housed <br />in the former senior center facility on Meeting House Road, North. The facility operates as an enterprise <br />fund, i.e., the user fees collected completely offset the cost of operating the facility. <br />This Article will authorize the Recreation Department to continue to operate this facility as an enterprise <br />fund and authorizes the appropriation of $289,820 from user fees to cover the FY 11 cost of operating the <br />facility. <br />Approval of this appropriation will have no impact on the FY 11 budget, or the 2010 tax rate. <br />THE FINANCE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS TOWN MEETING APPROVAL OF ARTICLE <br />7. Vote: 5-0. <br />ARTICLES: Authorize COA Revolving Account <br />Submitted by: The Council on Aging <br />This Article submitted by the Council on Aging requests approval to continue a revolving account to <br />deposit receipts received at the Senior Center from key deposits, coffee machine income, program <br />tuitions, etc., and to make disbursements from the account to pay for expenses related to the Center's <br />prograins. The approval sets a limit on expenditures for FY 11 at $15,000. The Town Accountant <br />monitors the transactions in this account. <br />THE FINANCE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS TOWN MEETING APPROVAL OF ARTICLE <br />8. Vote: 5-0. <br />ARTICLE9: Modify Affordable Housing Committee Membership <br />Submitted by: Board of Selectmen <br />This Article seeks Town Meeting approval to amend the Town Code decreasing the number of members <br />on the Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee from 9 to 5, in order to alleviate quorum issues required <br />to conduct the business of the committee. The members are appointed annually by the Board of <br />Selectmen and are not compensated. <br />THE FINANCE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS TOWN MEETING APPROVAZ OF ARTICLE <br />9. Vote: 5-0. <br />17 <br />
