Motion made to indefinitely postpone <br /> Motion to 'indefinitely postpone passes at 8-.31 PM. <br /> Article 27 <br /> To see if the Town of Mashpee will petition the General Court of the Commonwealth of <br /> Massachusetts to pass the followi,n Act affecting part-time elected officer's health and life <br /> insurance benefits and any other paid benefits that the Town of Mashpee (including School <br /> Department, Water Department and any other branches of Government that are and in the future <br /> part of the Town of Mashpee) has or plans to contribute Said Act to be inserted in the Revised <br /> General Bylaws or Charter of the Town. of Mashpee, and to read as follows: <br /> "Be it enacted as follows: <br /> Notwithstanding the provision of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 32B, part- <br /> time elected officials of the Town of Mashpee who receive a salary or a stipend <br /> shall not be eligible for participation in the Town's contributory health and life <br /> insurance plan, except those part-time officials who were elected prior to July, <br /> 2007 and currently participate in said plan shall be eligible to continue to so <br /> participate until the end of their current term.
