authorize the Board of Selectmen to assess betterments to the owners of the land abutting the <br /> ways, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Petition <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee does not recommend approval. <br /> Motion made by Donald Perkins, Polaris Drive. <br /> Motion.- I move the Town vote to accept the layout of those portions of Polaris Drive and <br /> Gemini Road that are within the boundaries of the Holland Mill subdivision, and Libra and Aries <br /> Lanes in their entirety as public ways as shown. on a plan entitled "Road Easement Taking Plan, <br /> Holland Mill Subdivision in Mashpee, Massachusetts (Barnstable County)", dated December 13, <br /> 2000 by the BSC Group, Inc. which layout is on file in the Office of the Town Clerk and to <br /> authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire by gift, purchase, or eminent domain taking any <br /> land necessary for the purpose of such ways as so laid out; that the sum of$122,866 be hereby <br /> appropriated and authorized to be borrowed under and pursuant to Chapter 44, Section 7, of the <br /> Massachusetts General Laws, or any other ena ing authority, for such purchase or taking and <br /> layout, including costs of constructing such ways and legal, financing and other costs incidental <br /> and related thereto; and finally the Town vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to assess <br /> betterments to the owners of land abutting the way. <br /> Motion made to indefinitely postpone at 8:35 p.m. <br /> Motion to indefinitely postpone passes at 8:35, p.m. <br /> Article 20 <br /> To see If the Town will vote to amend the Zoning by-law by amending the Zoning Map to <br /> change that portion of the parcel shown on the 2001 Mashpee Assessor' (sic) Maps as Man 54, <br /> Block 5 lying within 625 feet of the center line of Route 28 from 1-1 Industrial (also being in the <br /> I-C Overlay Zone)to C-2 Commercial and to delete the corresponding portion of the I-C Overlay <br /> Zone, or take any other action related thereto. <br /> Submitted by Petition <br /> Explanation: This article would expand the boundaries of the C-2 Commercial District, which <br /> allows most retail and office uses,, to the portion of Map 54, Block 5 on which the former Au, at <br /> building and Its parking area are located. The land is currently zoned 1-1 Industrial and was <br /> included in the I-C. Overlay Zone, which allows certain low-impact retail uses generating less <br /> than 300 vehicle trips per day per acre, by a zoning amendment approved at the October 2001 <br /> Annual Town Meeting. <br /> Planning Board voted at a Public Hearing held on September 18, 2002 3-0-1 not to <br /> recommend. <br /> Motion made by Steve Snow, 41 Fells Pond Road, <br />
