Chairman: The Board of Sewer Commissioners shall annually, in May, elect one (1) <br /> of its members as Chairman of the Board. <br /> §3-27. Clerk/Secretary-, The Board shall appoint one (1) of its members as Clerk/ Secretary <br /> of the Board, who shall keep an accurate record of the meetings, votes, orders and <br /> doings of the Board. <br /> §3-�28. Powers, and Duties: The Board of Sewer Commissioners shall have the duties and <br /> powers granted to it by the Massachusetts General Laws and those voted. by Town <br /> meeting. <br /> ARTICLE Vill - Shellfish Commission <br /> History-, Adopted 8-25-1986 STM., Article 7., approved by Attorney General on 10-17-1986. <br /> §3-29. Membership; Terms: The Selectmen shall appoint a Shellfish Commission to <br /> consist of five (5) 'Members, one (1) member to be the Shellfish Constable, two (2) <br /> members to represent recreational interests, and two (2) members to represent <br /> commercial interests. The initial terms of office shall be one (1) for one (1) year, two <br /> (2) for two (2) years and two (2) for three (3) years. Thereafter members shall be <br /> appointed annually to replace those members whose terms have expired. <br /> §3-30. Organization: The Shellfish Commission shall annually organize at its first meeting <br /> of each fiscal year by the selection of a Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary, who <br /> shall serve for one (1) year. <br /> §3-31. Powers, and duties: The Shellfish Commission shall advise and assist the Shellfish <br /> Constable and the Board of Selectmen. It shall make recommendations relating to <br /> shellfishing in the Town and shall act in an advisory capacity to all Town boards, <br /> committees or officials seeking assistance from the Commission. The Board of <br /> Selectmen shall designate, as applicable, members of the Shellfish Commission, upon <br /> their request, as Deputy Shellfish Constables to serve without compensation. <br /> §3-32. Associate Members: The Selectmen shall annually appoint three (3) or more <br /> associate members to the Shellfish Commission for one-year terms. They shall have <br /> voting power upon designation by the Commission Chairman in the absence of any <br /> regular Commission member at any meeting of the Commission. <br /> ARTICLE IX -- Mashpee Cable and Advanced Technology Advisory Board <br /> History: Adopted 5-4-1987 ATM, Article 61,approved by Attorney General on 9-21-1987. <br /> §3-�33. Appointment; Membership; Terms: The Selectmen shall appoint a Mashpee Cable <br /> and Advanced Technology Advisory Board consisting of five (5) members.
