Organization: The Committee shall reorganize annually at its first meeting <br /> following the final day of June by election of a Chairman, Vice Chairman and <br /> Secretary. <br /> §3-35. Duties: The Committee shall conduct a public hearing on, any application, request for <br /> a cablevision system in any future or proposed development by any individual or <br /> corporation and shall make recommendations to the Board of Selectmen. <br /> §3-3 . Appointment of Advisor: The Board of Selectmen may appoint a nonvoting advisor <br /> who has expertise in the field of telecommunications to assist the Committee. The <br /> Board of Selectmen shall give preferences to registered voters of the Town of <br /> Mashpee but may appoint a nonresident to said position. <br /> ARTICLE X -- Waterways, Commission <br /> History: Adopted 10-1-1990,ATM,Article 16,approved by Attorney General on 12-18-1990. <br /> 3-3 T. Appointment; Membership- Terms-, The Board of Selectmen shall appoint a <br /> Waterways Commission to consist of seven (7) members, two (2) members <br /> representing freshwater interests, two (2) members representing saltwater interests, <br /> one (1) member representing recreational interests, one (1) member representing <br /> commercial interests and one (1) member from the community at large. The initial <br /> terms of office shall be three (3) years. Thereafter members shall be appointed <br /> annually to replace those members whose terms have expired. <br /> §3-38. Organization: The Waterways Commission shall annually organize at its first <br /> meeting of each fiscal year by the selection. of a Chairman, Vice Chairman and <br /> Secretary, who shall serve one (1) year. <br /> §3-39. Powers, and Duties,: The Waterways Commission shall advise and assist the Board <br /> of Selectmen. The Board of Selectmen will take into consideration the advice and <br /> views of the Waterways Commission, pursuant to these bylaws, prior to the <br /> formulation of policy and budget recommendation.. <br /> ARTICLE XI --Affordable Housing Committee <br /> History: Adopted 5-1-2000 ATM,Article 33,approved by Attorney General on 8-7-2000. <br /> History: Amended 5-5-2003-ATM,Article 16,approved by Attorney General on 8-27-2,0 3. <br /> §3-40. Appointment; Purpose: The Board of Selectmen shall appoint an Affordable <br /> Housing Committee for the purpose of assisting in any future updates to the <br /> Affordable Housing element of the Comprehensive Plan, reviewing and submitting <br /> comments on any proposals for affordable housing projects submitted for approval to <br /> the Board of Selectmen under the Local Initiative Program or the Zoning Board of <br /> Appeals under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 4013, identifying and facilitating <br /> opportunities for increased housing affordability in Mashpee on an ongoing basis, <br /> 30 <br />
