The activities and recommendations of the Committee shall. <br /> be consistent with the goals, objectives, policies and action plan of the To°w n's <br /> adopted Comprehensive Plan. <br /> §3-�41. Membership: 'Terms: The hoard of Selectmen shall appoint the affordable Housing <br /> Committee consisting of nine 9) members. Members shall be reappointed annually. <br /> The members of the Affordable Dousing Committee shall serve without pay. <br /> §342. Organization; Meetings-. The Committee shall elect annually a Chairman., Vice <br /> Chairman and Clerk. Said election shall tape place at its first meeting after July 1 of <br /> each year. <br /> §3-�43. Powers and duties: said Committee shall be responsible for 1 assisting in any <br /> future updates to the Affordable Housing element of the Comprehensive Plan, 2 <br /> reviewing and submitting comments on any proposals for affordable housing projects <br /> submitted for approval to the Board of Selectmen under the Local. Initiative Program. <br /> or to the Zoning Board of Appeals underM.G.L. Chapter 40B, ) identifying and <br /> facilitating opportunities for increased housing affordability in Ma.sshpee on an. <br /> ongoing basis, 4) working with the Planning Department and other agencies to <br /> develop a Mousing Development:fiction. Plan under the provisions of 760 CMR 46.00 <br /> and seeping its approval by the Board of Selectmen and the Secretary of <br /> Massachusetts Department of Dousing & Community Development and 5) <br /> maintaining communications with similar groups in housing organizations. The <br /> activities and recommendations of the Committee shall be consistent with the goals, <br /> objectives, policies and action plan of the Town's adopted Comprehensive Plan. Said <br /> Committee may also serve as, and may perform the functions and duties of, the <br /> "Town's "Local Housing Partnership", provided that all of the legal and regulatory <br /> requirements for creation of such a"Partnership" are met. <br /> CHAPTER 4 -- ELECTED BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> ARTICLE I -- Board of Selectmen <br /> HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Of Mashpee as Ch. 2, Article. 2.1, Of the 1980 Code. Amendments noted <br /> where applicable. <br /> §4.1. Composition; Terms of Office.
