0 a a <br /> Motion made to dispense witn reading of article. <br /> Motion by Kenneth Marsters. <br /> Motion*, I move the Town vote that the parcels shown on the 2004 Mashpee Assessors' Maps as <br /> Map 16, Block 36 (562 Cotuit Road and Map 44, Block 4 (59 Quashnet Road) shall not be held <br /> for by the Town as conservation land; and further, vote that said parcels shall be transferred to <br /> the Board of Selectmen for purposes of donation or sale to an entity or entities engaged in the <br /> development of affordable housing for sale or rental to persons of low or very low income within <br /> the meaning of the Housing Act of 1937, and qualifying for listing in the affordable housing <br /> inventory maintained by the Mass. Dept. of Housing and Community Development under G.L. <br /> Chapter 40B, with such transfer to be made subject to a pen-nanent deed restriction, which, may <br /> contain a reverter clause, permanently restricting the sale or resale price, or rental cost, of any <br /> homes or apartments constructed on said parcels to no more than that considered affordable for <br /> persons of low income as defined by the U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development and <br /> qualified for continued listing in the above affordable housing inventory; and finally, to authorize <br /> the Board of Selectmen to make use of other instrumentalities of the Town or other agencies and <br /> to enter into any agreements necessary to effect the transfer of such land in accordance with this <br /> Article. <br /> Motion passes unanimously at 9-.59 p.m. <br /> Motion made to extend Town Meeting to 10:30 p.m. <br /> Motion to extend Town Meeting to 10:30 p.m. passes at 10:00 p.m. <br /> Article 22 <br /> To see if the Town will vote to amend the General By-laws by amending Chapter 5 to insert a <br /> new ARTICLE XVIL Community Preservation Committee, to read as follows,, with said action <br /> only becoming effective upon maliority approval of a ballot question adopting the provisions of <br /> Section 298 of Chapter 149 of the Acts of 2004: <br /> "ARTICLE XVII -- Community Preservation Committee <br /> a, 0 <br /> §5-�66 Establishment; membership; terms. There is hereby established a Community <br /> Preservation Committee, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 44B of the General Laws and <br /> Section 298 of Chapter 149 of the Acts of 2004. The Committee shall consist of nine (9) voting <br /> members as follows: one (1) member of the Conservation Commission as designated by said <br /> Commission, one (1) member of the Historical Commission as designated by said Commission, <br /> one (1) member of the Planning Board as designated by said Board, one (1) member of the Board <br /> of Selectmen acting as Park Commissioners under Section 37-9, as designated by said Board, <br /> one (1) member of the Mashpee Housing Authority as designed by said Authority, and four (4) <br /> ,at-large members appointed by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Members of the Committee shall serve for a term of one (1) year, with initial terms beginning <br /> July 1, 2005, or until the person no longer serves on the Board or Committee as set forth above, <br /> whichever is earlier, and shall be subject to designation or appointment on an annual basis <br /> 57 <br />
