Similar to regulations prohibiting <br /> the public consumption of alcohol, the Chief of Police is recommending adoption of a Town By- <br /> Law which would prohibit the use or consumption of marijuana on any property owned by the <br /> Town of Mashpee, any place accessible to the public or on any bus or public conveyance,. The <br /> By-Law defines the enforcing authorities as well as sets a fine of$300 for violating the By-Law. <br /> THE FINANCE COMMITTEE APPROVES ARTICLE 12. Vote: 6—0. <br /> ARTICLES 13 and 14: Amend Town Codes Regarding Dogs <br /> Submitted by: Chief of Police R <br /> In Article 13 as an alternative to the imposition of a civil fine of$50 per offense, the Chief of <br /> Police and the Animal Control Officer are recommending an amendment to Chapter 120 of the 9 <br /> Town Codes to subject a dog owner who has been cited 3 times for excessive barking by their <br /> dog to a hearing conducted by the Chief of Police in an attempt to resolve this matter for the <br /> benefit of the neighborhood. Article 14 requests an amendment to Chapter 79 of the Town Codes <br /> to authorize the Board of Selectmen to establish the minimum daily fee for the care of a dog <br /> under the custody and confinement of the Animal Control Officer. <br /> i ' <br /> THE FINANCE COMMITTEE APPROVES ARTICLES 13 and 14.
