Minutes of Meeting of Design Review Committee Tuesday, February 16, 2021 Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room Raul said that the rock trap will be a grass basin. He will be depressing that area, so if a foot of water accumulates the basin it goes into the subsurface. The lot is already cleared so there are no trees to replant. He suggested that some of the pitch pines will not provide that much screening. He will have a discussion with the property owner, and recommend some bushes that grow up to 5 ft., maybe up to 10 ft. to screen that lower visible area. He suggested arborvitae are not low, and provide screening and don't grow wide. The mulch area is just ground cover. Jonathan thought the arborvitae suggestion is a good idea especially on the sides and front. Joe agrees with the suggestions regarding the landscaping ideas. Dave wants to see that the maintenance of the gravel be kept on the site and does not spill onto the road. He agreed that the landscaping should be addressed. Joe made a motion to approve the project at 30 Evergreen Circle with additions that the owner put together a landscaping plan for further review. Jonathan seconded. Miles, yes, Jonathan, yes, Joe, yes, and Dave yes. All were in favor. Joe made a motion to approve 41 Evergreen Circle. Jonathan seconded. Miles, yes, with the same landscaping plan, Jonathan, yes, Joe, yes, and Dave, yes. Jonathan made a motion to approve the November 17, 2020 meeting minutes. Joe seconded. All were in favor. Jonathan made a motion to adjourn. All were in favor. The meeting adjourned at 9:12 am.
