Morin Pg.: 161 <br /> 11 Hamblin Road <br /> (Map 120 Parcel 34) <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> A Petition was filed on November 8, 2019 by Owners, Jacques and Martha Morin request <br /> a Modification of an approved Variance (V-2018-16), reducing lot coverage by relocating <br /> hot tub under deck, and expanding the deck on the dwelling located in an R-3 Zoning <br /> District, Map 120 Parcel 34, Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter <br /> 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of general <br /> circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on November 15, 2019 and November 22, 2019 a <br /> copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the provisions of <br /> Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §10 and the Town of Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday, <br /> December 11, 2019 at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were <br /> present and acting throughout; Chairman, Jonathan Furbush, Vice Chairman, William <br /> Blaisdell, Board Member, Ron Bonvie, and Associate Members, Sharon Sangeleer and <br /> James Reiffarth. <br /> Jacques Morin represented himself for the modification request of a Variance that was <br /> granted back in 2018. He is specifically looking to relocate the hot tub which is in the patio <br /> 6 ft. from the wall at the water's edge, move it underneath the deck and at the same time <br /> extend out the deck 1 ft. 9". <br /> The Board confirmed that the hot tub is included in the lot coverage because it is similar to <br /> a pool. The Board reviewed the plan that depicted the existing dwelling, deck, and shed <br /> being 19.4%lot coverage. The total proposed lot coverage by structure is 25%which is the <br /> maximum allowed percentage. <br /> Mr. Morin said he's removing 44 sq. ft. Mr. Morin said that there's a 6 sq. ft. reduction,by <br /> eliminating 44 sq. ft. from the hot tub being relocated underneath the existing structure. <br /> The 19.4%lot coverage was the previous dwelling that was demolished. The new proposed <br /> is 25% lot coverage and was approved under the V-2018-16. <br /> 1 <br />
