7 Board of Selectmen Minutes September 27, 2021 One Day Liquor License and Waiver of Fee: October 2 2021 (Rain Date October 3, 2021) 10 am — 4 pm Mashpee Commons Village Green: Robin Blakeman - Kiwanis Club of Mashpee, Inc.: The Kiwanis Club of Mashpee, Inc. presented an application to the Board of Selectmen for a One Day Liquor License for the annual Kiwanis Club "biergarten" planned to be held at the Annual Oktoberfest at the Mashpee Commons Village Green on October 2, 2021 with a rain date of October 3, 2021 from 10:00 a.m, to 4:00 p.m. Included in the application is a request to waive the $25.00 One Day Liquor License fee. Motion made by Selectman Cotton to approve the request of the Kiwanis Club of Mashpee; Inc. for a One Day Liquor License as presented waiving the license fee for this event. Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Opposed, none LIAISON REPORTS Community Preservation: Last week a celebration was held to honor the Childs River Bog Restoration project. The environmental restoration returned two abandoned cranberry bogs to natural wetland habitat and restored the river to improve the ecosystem for fish and other wildlife. The project is near completion awaiting landscape plantings. TOWN MANAGER UPDATES Roundtable Discussions: The dates of November 8, 2021 and December 13, 2021 are scheduled for roundtable discussions. The initial meeting will consider the Clean Water Plan and related topics. COVID-19: It was reported there are (4) new cases, 23 current, 1055 in total. Dredging: The inner channel to Popponesset Bay is scheduled to be dredged on September 23, 2021 to October 5, 2021. Cape Cod Technical School: A ribbon cutting ceremony is planned on October 8, 2021.
