The Chairman commented that it states in Arti cle III, <br /> Elected officers, Summary of Provisions that the „powers <br /> and duties of the Planning Board remain unchanged...". <br /> The Town -Plan-ner referred to the actual Charter, which <br /> provides the Planning Board to recommend to Town Meeting o <br /> Zoning Articles, Regulate Subdivisions, and to address <br /> plans for the development costs of the Town. <br /> The Chairman noted a change in that the -Planning ,Board <br /> nu t now present the report to the voters in writing, - <br /> rather that verbal . "...The written report of the Planning <br /> Board sending out its 'findings a-nd recommendations as to <br /> all. Zoning articles..." - <br /> The Town Planner expressed concerns regarding what is <br /> authorized under the State Statute and the possible loss of <br /> power should the Charter override the Statutes . - <br /> The Chairman also noted that the P'l nning Board <br /> Associate Member position is -now to be elected and is <br /> authorized to sit on any decision.
