Public Hearing Mashpee Commons LLC - Mashpee Commons and Forth Market Street Projects Approval o-f Street Names for Private Ways Part of Address Plan for 911 Response The Chairman recognized Jim Vaccaro, Director of Community Relations for Mashpee Commons . He Introduced John Rent, Manager of Retail operations for Ma-shpee Commons, and Torn Ferenti, Construction Supervisor. The Chairman then read details of the Public Hearing: Pursuant to Mass. Gen. Law Ch. 85 Sections 3A and 3B, the Mashpee Planning Hoard will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 , at 7 : o p.m.. at the M -shpe Torn Hall, 16 Great Neck Road North, to consider the following names for private wags within the Mashpee Commons and North Market Street projects - Bates Road, Market treet, Bank - Street, North Street, Green Street, Steeple Street, Central Square, First Lane, South Steeple Street, oak Street, -and Common Street. A map shoring these roads in their proposed neighborhoods may be viewed at the offices of the Town Clerk or the Town Planner. . References were made to a plan entitled, "Mashpee ommon Address Plan, Mashpee, MA, Mashpee Commons Ltd. Partnership, dated January 29, 200 "" The Chairman commented upon her dismay with the following names - e.g. South Steeple Street, North Steeple R Street, Great Deck Road South., Great Neck Road North. She expressed her priority for more individual names, stating . the names being proposed are confusing. Lee Gurney asked if any names unique to the Town of Mashpee and to Cape Cod had been considered in order t connect more closely with the history and culture of the community.
