Gail Barnes - Supported comments made by the previous <br /> speaker with reference to continuity of aesthetics - <br /> throughout. the development as it relates to the retaining <br /> walls along the .sidewalks . <br /> Mr. Bonvi,e responded the majority of retaining walls <br /> at Southport are constructed of wood. It �s his opinion <br /> that continuity would be maintained by the use of wood <br /> materials . He made reference to the golf course area, <br /> stating good retaining galls are located. throughout all of <br /> the deg eloprgent . <br /> Lee Gurney clarified Planning Board jurisdiction in <br /> decision making and those areas that the Association should <br /> address . Any changes to t-he plan as a result of <br /> ssocia Lion opinion would have to--be filed with the Board <br /> for approval. <br /> Mr. Malcomson voiced his disagreement with the <br /> previous speaker. H believes this issue should be <br /> addressed between the developer and the Planning Board, as <br /> part of the construction process. <br /> Attorney Dunning requested Planning Board respect for <br /> the developer' s prerogative with respect to aesthetics. <br /> The Chairman determined the Board' s decision in this <br /> ratter in favor of the developer. <br /> The Chairman then provided the Board an opportunity to <br /> amend t-he Motion/Vote taken earlier. It was the consensus <br /> of the Planning Board to support the Motion made by Steve <br /> Dolan a`r'lier in the meeting - the Motion and Vote stand. <br /> Modification of Drainage - Pond Plan <br /> Revision to Site Plan suggested by the Consulting Engineer <br /> The consulting Engineer explained he had been notified <br /> by RIM Engineering of their desire to relocate one of the <br /> leaching pits a-s drainage to the pond at Southport in an <br /> attempt to preserve trees, <br /> He stated he had no obi ection to the request, <br /> commenting said leaching pit be constructed as far back <br /> away from the pond as possible in order to avoid damage to <br /> the pond liner, possible collapse, or soil damage. <br /> 1 <br />
