The Town Planner deferred to the Consulting Engineer regarding the retaining wall on Leisure Green Drive and the notation that there is to be a graded slope behind the wall of 4 to 1 . The Consulting Engineer agreed the slope pitch, as noted on the plan, meets with his approval. Page 7 of the Plan in .Profile should be clarified regarding tree preservation - stripping out of soil lo- feet around the proposed leaching areas . He asked if this was a reference to the structure or the stone around the leaching areas. The Consulting Engineer explained the leaching facility is located below the lime of the silt,' or --feet below the surface. If it is found to be necessary to strip out material, it .must be carr.ied out far enough so- that the _ leaching facility and the surr'oun ding soli remains in good condition. n alternative would be to. drop the entire system deeper, a decision that could be made in the field. He - suggested a notation be made on the plan that the area either b stripped or altered. The Town Planner suggested Conditions be included in the 1 eciSion regarding determinations being -made in the field as well as amending the mote on the plan . It was agreed that the Town. Planner and Consulting Engineer would work together to amend the language on the plan. The Chairman determined the Consulting Engineer has not yet received drainage calculations for the roadway from RIM Engineering; and that he has not yet had an opportunity to review the reprised plans . The Consulting Engineer suggested an arlorist should determine the size of the wells surrounding those trees that are to be salvaged, as well as the distance from the base of the tree the protective fencing should be installed in order to protect the root system and canopy of the tree. These limits should be established and noted on the plan.
