Nor. Quinn continued discussion of the proposed additional parking spaces., lighting and crosswalk. The chairman requested Applicant provide a detailed plan of the proposal to the Board along with a supporting narrative. She suggested any tree removal to be compensated by the planting of a new tree in a d'i f ferent location on the property. Steve Dolan expressed concern with traf fictsafety issues at the intersection. He feels that if the intersection is s igta l i ed, people will rya intain the speed across the intersection. He is not convinced this is the west location for Applicant' s .proposal. Ir. Quinn argued the 10 -feet would be sufficient distance. The chairman agreed, the matter under consideration i a huge safety issue. She is not necessarily st,atinc her approval or support; her suggestion for presentation of a detailed plan is preferable to Applicant' s informal drawings and verbal explanation of the proposal. She once again requested Applicant to prepare and present plans a-nd information to Board Members at least one week prior to the Planning Board Meeting for preparation and review of the subject matter. ' The Board agreed they would rake no decision at this point. It was strongly suggested that Applicant work with the consulting Engineer in order to address the safety issues raised by the Board. Lee Gurney suggested Applicant address the safety issues first, and resident convenience second. The Chairman raised the issue of expenses incurred involving the consulting Engineer' s fees . She clearly stated she feels the Town of iashpee should not be held responsible to rectify are illegally wilt post office structure. She looked to Mr. Bornstein who agreed to assume financial responsibility by responding, "I guess we' ll be the people to take care of that" . 7
