The Town Plann' e't -clarified it is a private road, the <br /> Town is not responsible for maintenance, the only thing the <br /> Town is allowed to do is plow if the road is deemed to be <br /> in good condition by the DPW Director. <br /> Mr. Aucoin stated the owner of the lot would be <br /> responsible for road -maintenance. <br /> The Chairman recognized Randy Peters who commented his <br /> mother owns property at this location and he feels she will <br /> be most impacted. He expressed concern regarding drainage <br /> issues, the fire hydrant, preservation of the existing <br /> telephone pole, and road maintenance. He requested an <br /> easement document from the Applicant. in writing in -order <br /> to prevent any future access issues. <br /> Mr. Peters stated quite clearly that his main concern <br /> is the prevention of any drainage/water issues connected <br /> with road construction. <br /> The Chairman assured the speaker that the consulting <br /> Engineer would approve any and all drainage plans, -as well <br /> as road/intersection plans . <br /> The Town Planner suggested the DPW Director be <br /> provided an opportunity to review the plans . If he <br /> determines the road conditions to be satisfactory he will <br /> plow the road, he is not responsible for any road <br /> maintenance. <br /> The Chairman recognized Mr. Cadigan who reiterated his <br /> primary concern is safety issues, that the existing road <br /> will not run fr ' cotuit to route 130. <br /> Mr. Peters echoed the previous speaker' s concern, he <br /> does not want to see the road run through and also, that <br /> the condition of the road meets the standards . <br /> The Consulting Engineer suggested the approval be <br /> conditioned by the Board that the road would not be <br /> constructed or extended -beyond what is shown on the plan. <br /> The road in its present construction is only to service Lot <br /> 3A. <br /> The Town Planner agreed this language should b <br /> incorporated into the plan. <br /> 10 <br />
