Ms. Kerrigan informed the Board that -options have been <br /> explord with the Mashpee Post Office, finding no other <br /> preferable solution. <br /> Dennis Bal arini reminded Ms . Kerrigan that some very <br /> appropriate and acceptable plans had been presented to the <br /> Board, and to which the Board was in agreement. He asked <br /> about one specific option involving relocation to where the <br /> maintenance building is located. <br /> Ms. Kerrigan responded, `That option is really not the <br /> greatest option because that also is very bad access. That <br /> is one of the worst visibility points in the entire <br /> development . , <br /> Dennis Balar.ini suggested the present location i <br /> considered to be convenient by the residents; however, the <br /> Board considers it to be extremely unsafe . He clearly <br /> expressed his position to vote against this proposal . <br /> The Chairman quoted from a letter received from Mr. <br /> O'Malley, Trustee chair an, dated October 12, 2004, <br /> addressed to the Mashpee- Plann,ing Beard: '"In the event the <br /> Planning Board does not agree with the current location <br /> with improvements, I request that this matter be further <br /> continued by the Board to another date. " <br /> The Chairman then recognized Stuart Bornstein, who <br /> deferred to Tom Quinn. <br /> Mr. Quinn stated, "It probably isn' t exactly accurate <br /> to say that there is absolutely no other option. But, we <br /> have pent...What we did is we started out at Windchime <br /> looping at a few different locations, and you are- well <br /> aware of the locations we looked at . There is absolutely <br /> no where that the post office can be placed with any <br /> parting anywhere it' s not at the front entrance. It needs <br /> to be at the front entrance. " <br /> He stated the Developer has explored every inch of the <br /> area located near the tennis courts and are unable t <br /> figure out how to make it work. He then. made references to. <br /> the plan before the Board, noting the location of the <br /> buffer area and Planning Board reluctance to approve <br /> removal of any trees . <br /> 3 <br />
