The Chairman dispelled a rumor circulating through <br /> Town that the Planning Board intends to file the DCPC <br /> nomination on February 3, 2005 . She stated quite clearly <br /> that this is simply not true. <br /> The Board of Selectmen have been notified that the <br /> Planning Board is currently revising Draft # (taking valid <br /> public comment into consideration) and that Draft #5 will <br /> b l forthcoming for To n pu lic review and further comment. <br /> The Chairman then clarified the nomination process and <br /> relayed some determinations made by the Cape Cod Commission <br /> with regard to the 'nomination form itself . <br /> The Cape Cod Commission feels that Draft #4 is <br /> extremely ely general., and has requested the Board to be more ` <br /> specific with the nomination form. The Planning Board had <br /> planned to attempt. to address the issues of Growth <br /> I ana ement, -Water F esoUrces, and Traffic. Sbme Action <br /> Items were listed that do not, in fact, require a DCPC in <br /> order to accomplish and have been deleted from the foam as <br /> suggested by the Cape Cad Commission. <br /> Revisions to Draft #4 have been started. references <br /> to Affordable Housing issues are being included in said <br /> revision. It is the intention of the Board to consider <br /> those comments received on Draft #4 and to decide which <br /> will be incorporated into the nomination form. when Draft <br /> #5 is completed, it will be issued for comment. <br /> Overview of the Process <br /> The Planning Board will finalize the DCPC nomination <br /> form and it will be identified and issued to the public a <br /> such. The required supporting documentation (maps, etc. ) <br /> will be included. [upon final i nation, the Planning Board is <br /> required to meet with the Cape dad Commission as they <br /> review the nomination and make a determination as t <br /> whether they feel it is ready for formal filing with therm. <br /> t that point a Public Hearing on the final document <br /> will be scheduled for the public and citizens of the 'rowan <br /> f Mashpee for input and final comment. The final DCPC <br /> nomination package will then be submitted to the Cape Cod <br /> Commission. <br />
