The Cape Cod Commission is requit d to publish a <br /> Notice of receipt of the DCPC nomination form. On the date <br /> of publication, the first moratorium: period a maximum of <br /> 4 -days) begins; during which time the Cape Cod Commission <br /> will decide whether r not to accept the nomination. <br /> During this pe:r,iod there will be a total suspension of the <br /> Torn' s authority to grant development permits within the <br /> district (Town of iashpee) . The only exemptions are those <br /> that are totally exempt from the provisions of the Cape Cod <br /> Commission Act as identified in Section 22 . <br /> [upon acceptance by the Cape Cod Commission, the <br /> process moves forward.. on the date of acceptance, the <br /> first moratorium period. ends. <br /> The Towb of I ashpee will decide what should be allowed <br /> to proceed during .the second moratorium period. The second <br /> moratorium period is that time it takes for the County <br /> Assembly to make a decision as to whether or not to grant <br /> the Torn of l ashpee the DCPC design t.ion as requested. <br /> The Chairman informed the public that Draft #5 will be <br /> available on the Planning Department Website for review. <br /> t this point the Chairman opened the floor to <br /> questions and comments : <br /> The Town Planner commented upon the expiration of the <br /> moratorium, stating the period would be 12-months after the <br /> County Assembly approves the DCPC, or until such time as <br /> the Town adopts implementing regulations. <br /> The Town Planner- explained that item #14 is a <br /> description of what is to be exempt from the second <br /> -moratorium period; and #15 is a description of the type of <br /> land uses appropriate within the district after regulations <br /> have been implemented. <br /> John Clary - Asked if the timeframe of the entire <br /> process would be approximately 1 -months . <br /> The Chairman clarified that whatever implementing <br /> regulations are suggested, will have to be approved by the <br /> Town Meeting. The citizens will have the final vote . She <br /> agreed that an l =month period would be reasonable. <br />
