stated the Cape Cod Commission would :here the opportunity <br /> to reject proposed elements should they determine then to <br /> e insufficient to the nature of the problem, and to rather <br /> require their own interpretation of the regulations. <br /> The Chairman interjected explaining that the Cape Cod <br /> Commission ha-s unequivocally stated that they will not <br /> impose any regulation upon the Town. she agreed that they <br /> do have the legal right to do so, as written in the Act, <br /> however they have assured the Planning Board that they will <br /> not, nor have they ever in any other DCPC process on Cape <br /> Cod overridden a Town' s wishes by imposing something <br /> unacceptable to the Town. <br /> Led Gurney pointed out that any new regulations would <br /> require a vote at Town Meeting prior to implementation. <br /> Review ew of Comments <br /> Town Departments and Boards <br /> Town officials <br /> The Chairman reported that the Town Planner, Tom <br /> Fudala, had -submitted a 1 -page memo at the request of the <br /> Town Manager and the Board of Selectmen. Incorporated into <br /> said memo were comments made by Albert Todino, Bob Sherman, <br /> George Baker, Glen Harrington, Greg Taylor, John Duffy, <br /> Richard Stevens, and Rich York. <br /> Mr. Harrington, Board of Health - Advised that the <br /> Board had voted 2-opposed to a DCPC, and 1--in favor <br /> (commenting that it was too little, too late) . It was the <br /> unanimous opinion of the Board that a DCPC should not <br /> influence single-family home properties at all. <br /> Robert Nelson, vice Chairman, Zoning Board of Appeals <br /> Expressed his objection to a DCPC, stating "'The Planning <br /> Board is dictating their opinion for the entire Town of <br /> Ma-shpee when in reality it would he ex-tremely detrimental <br /> to our town" . <br /> Jamie Regan - (Not clear if he responded as a private <br /> citizen, or as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals . ) <br /> Stating his opposition to a DCPC. <br /> Individuals <br /> 11 <br />
