Mr. Of Malley reported the site has been Marked, all of
the trees have- been tagged, as well as the entryway. He
requested approval this date, if satisfactory to the Board,
in order to rove forward.
The Town Planner reported Eric Smith is satisfied with
the site plan. However, there are no architectural plans
for the post office.
Mr. O' Malley stated the square footage would be the
same, and that the design would remain basically the same
as the old post office. When asked by the Town Planner, he
responded, "exactly the same" .
Mr. O' Malley asked for Board approval to wall off that
portion of the post office that fronts Blue Spruce Road in
order to discourage on-street. parking.
The Consulting Engineer commented on the grading shown
on the plan entitled, " indchime Point Condominium Proposed
Post office, Phase 1B, dated Larch 30, 005."
He made reference to the o-ft . contour running
through the entrance to the post office -and across the 1 -
ft.. wade driveway to the left and around to the parking
area. There is a catch basin located within -ft . that is
1-ft . lower.
Mr. Rowley suggested applicant' s engineer adjust the
contours/grading in this area. With respect to the
delivery area of the post office, Mr. Rowley asked how long
the post office vehicle would occupy the spot, and whether
this would be an issue for residents .
Mr.. O' Malley responded the average time would be 10-
minutes, maybe a little more on Saturday.
The Town Planner asked about the one-way in at the o-
ft . entrance.
Mr. o' [ all.-ey stated if traffic .is allowed out
residents might be inclined to turn right which would bring
traffic through Blue Spruce Roam. if residents turn to the
left it could interfere with people who are walking in the
area. He would prefer that traffic move to the 12-ft. side
in order to keep a better traffic flow.
8
