" <br /> The Town Planner has requested Applicant to provide <br /> proper written noti -ication addressed to the Planning Board <br /> directly. He suggested this matter be continued to the <br /> next meeting, <br /> Preliminary Subdivision Plan <br /> C. Talanian. Realty mpan- y <br /> Commercial Street-Shellbacl lay at S'outhCape Village <br /> Approval of Preliminary Plan for Two Street Layouts <br /> The Town Planner informed the Board that Applicant was <br /> not ready to appear before the Board this date and has <br /> requested this matter be rescheduled to the next meeting. <br /> Board Items <br /> Discussion of Southport Tree Issues <br /> The Town Planner reported that he and the Consulting <br /> Engineer have planned a site visit for June 2, 2005 at <br /> 11 : 30 a,.m. There are a number of trees that are dying/have <br /> been damaged by storm. Photographs indicated that the <br /> bulldozers have been driven right up to the trees and in <br /> some instances have hit and damaged the root systems . <br /> The Town Planner also mentioned he is concerned with <br /> the size of the tree wells that have been provided. He <br /> feels they are inadequate and should have been made larder <br /> in order to protect the root systems. <br /> t this point the Chairman opened the floor to Public <br /> comment recognIzing the following: <br /> Joe Maloney, 18 Driver Lane, Southport - He explained <br /> that he wanted to introduce himself to the Board Members, <br /> that he is very interested in the landscaping issues at <br /> Southport and that he is trying to ]peep himself informed. <br /> The Chairman suggested the speaker submit any -specific <br /> concerns in writing directly to the Planning Board for <br /> review. <br />
