A DCPC was <br /> considered at that time, 1997 . 'there was however a lack of <br /> political will, and it was thought that more scientific <br /> studies were needed. In the mea-riwhile development has <br /> continued along with the det ri ra. i n of beloved waterways <br /> continue unabated. <br /> She also spoke as Executive Director of the <br /> Association to Preserve Cape Cod. She expressed strong <br /> support of the DCPC being proposed. She acknowledged <br /> Planning Board attempt to provide a time-out to 'low down <br /> and pause in order to develop a once and for all <br /> comprehensive and integrated plan to determine the fate of, <br /> Mashpee waters and the economic wellbeing for future <br /> generations . She applauded the Planning Board for their <br /> efforts and urged the Board of Selectmen to support this <br /> opportunity. <br /> Charlotte Boccuzzi - Mashpee resident, who has <br /> attended previous Planning Board meetings . She took this <br /> opportunity to thank the Planning Board for taking on the <br /> proposal for a DGPC and expressed her support on behalf of <br /> herself and her husband. <br /> Marty o' Mall-ey - President, Windchime Cond minium <br /> Association, representing 300 residents of the Town of <br /> Maspee. He expressed support of a Town wide DCPC and <br /> Mashpee a-s a Water District . <br /> He spore to the present dangers of nutrient loading, <br /> excessive nitrates, phosphates, and toxins in the water <br /> supply and resources; and to this opportunity to take <br /> advantage of comprehensive planning during the moratorium <br /> period. <br /> He suggested the development of improving inventory <br /> tools with which to determine and monitor levels of <br /> ,nutrient loading CIS mapping) . <br /> Other possible solutions would be integration and co- <br /> sharing of the privately owned DEP approved/regulated <br /> wastewater treatment facilities within the Town. <br /> 11 <br />
