He <br /> expressed appreciation for the exemption of single family <br /> hordes from the proposal . He is concerned however about the <br /> initial moratorium period. <br /> He offered to assist the Planning Board with resources <br /> at the local, state, and national levels . He stated his <br /> concerns for the environment and a solution to the issues <br /> Cape wide. <br /> t this point the Cha-irman asked the speaker if he is <br /> in favor or is opposed to a DCPC nomination. <br /> Mr. Davis replied, "In principal we oppose the DCPC <br /> nomination.. " He explained the Homebuilders Association <br /> would prefer to see the Town maintain local control over <br /> building issues . <br /> The Chairman asked the speaker if he was a a,re of the <br /> fact that any implementing regulations stemming from the <br /> DCPC process must be approved by the citizens of Maspee by <br /> vote. <br /> The speaker replied he was aware of this, but that it <br /> is his understanding that the Cape -Cod Commission would <br /> male the final determination.. <br /> The Planning Board clarified that the decision would <br /> e made by the Mashpee voters as to whether or not they <br /> would accept the implementing regulations . <br /> The Chairman expressed concern that everyone concerned <br /> has carefully read the draft documents in order t <br /> 12 <br />
