Attorney Kirrane then stated that Mr. Rowley and Mr. Eddy have discussed the <br /> proposed plan and that Mr. Rowley's concerns and recommendations have been <br /> addressed and incorporated. The draft decisions prepared by the Town Planner have been <br /> presented to the 1 lashpee Site Plan Review Committee and approved subject to some <br /> recommendations which have been incorporated into the plan, with the exception of <br /> sidewalk details. It is his understanding that rather than constructing the landscaped <br /> islands shown at the edges of the parking area, that Mr. Rowley has suggested sidewalks <br /> e constructed. He Mated that he feels however, that the landscape alternative will be <br /> more aesthetically pleasing, noting that neither l iashpee Commons nor South Cape <br /> Village provide sidewalks within their parking areas. <br /> Attorney Kirr ne having concluded his presentation, the Chairman deferred to Mr. <br /> Rowley. <br /> Mr. Rowley stated that the suggestion to construct sidewalks was a result of <br /> review of the plans in which the existing site would be connected to the proposed parking <br /> area by a sidewalk. In terms of the proposed use, he feels that there *11 be certain times <br /> when si ific nt numbers of people going to the site with only the travel lanes available <br /> for walking. He feels it would be a benefit to offer and provide people a safe means to <br /> walk to their destination without having to utilize a travel lane. <br /> Itch. Rowley ffirther stated that has discussed this matter with Mr. Eddy at some <br /> length, however an agreement has not been reached, and that he feels the matter should <br /> be discussed and decided by the Board. <br /> After so 'me discussion the Board agreed to the Town Planner's suggestion to grass <br /> the islands rather than plant shrubs so that people could-walk along the islands. <br /> Dennis l . rini suggested that each section be narked to indicate <br /> crossing/walkway area. He also suggested a bike rack be incorporated into the plan; to <br /> which the Applicant, Mr. Keller, agreed. <br /> t this point the Town Planner provided copies of a drab `Planning Board <br /> Decision, Mashpee Industrial Realty LL , Makedo Realty Trust, 64 Industrial give <br /> Special Permit, dated August 5, 009" for Board review. He also determined that there <br /> will be a lease agreement, for legal purposes between the Applicant and IIakeo Realty <br /> Trust. <br /> There being no fin her Board discussion the Chairman entertained a motion. <br /> MOTION: Dennis l al arini made a Motion to approve the Special Permit for a <br /> parking lot for Mash pee Industrial Realty LLC and Makedo Realty Trust subject to a <br /> revised date on the plan of August 5, 2009, the walkway/island areas to be planted with <br /> sod grass rather than shrubs and to be indicated painted as a walkway, and a street sign <br /> change from Commercial Street to Industrial Drive; which Motion was duly seconded by <br /> Diary waygan and so voted unanimously. <br /> 3 <br />
