LOTION: Dennis Bal arini made a Lotion to continue
the Public Hearing in this matter to February 1 , 2003, at
7 : 35 p.m. ; which Motion was seconded by Steve Dolan and so
voted unanimously.
(This matter concluded at 8 : 13 p.m. )
Release of Performance Guarantee
Gene Smith - Conaumet Highlands Subdivision - Lot 50
Continued from January 15, 200
The Consulting Engineer provided a report of his
findings of inspection made to Southwind Circle; letter
dated February 4, 2003. The entire roadway is in need of
clearing from the sides; the base is pretty well oxidized,
Two of the catch basins appear to be in good condition, the
frames and grates are intact. There was no water in -either
one . The interconnecting pipes appear to be in good
condition as well. He did notice a pipe of unknown origin
coning into the ba's-in at the outside of the circle.
The profile of the road is virtually flat. The plan
calls for two additional catch basins just before the
intersection of the circle with Fox .Hill -Road. He is
uncertain as to whether or not they -are in place. He spoke
to the importance of constructing basins in the event they
do not exist in order to prevent runoff into the lot under
consideration. some measure should be taken to insure this
is not the situation.
The building located on Lot 56 has a garage facing Fox
Hill -Road, however the front door of the house faces the
circle . He. is unsure of the frontage of this lot. He
recommended the entire circle be paved and that the
existing base coat be repaired.
The vegetation has grown out to the edge of the
pavement; he mentioned the possibility of root matter
underneath the pavement when the existing vegetation i
cleared away.
The Town Planner suggested Applicant obtain an
estimate of costs to pave tip to the catch basins and repair
of the base coat, and a separate estimate of costs to page
the entire circle for consideration at the next meeting-
7
