i i i The h irman entertained a motion to continue the Public Hearing in this Fatter as Applicant i awaiting Hearing of the Cape Cad Corri s idn. There was brief discussion as to whether or not the Board could discuss the matter. It was the consensus of the Board to postpone the Public Hearing in this matter until such time as- the Cape Cod Commission has rendered a decision. MOTION: Dennis Balarini made a Motion to continue the Public nearing in this matter to April 1 , 2003, a 7 :45 p.m. ; which Motion was seconded by Steve Dolan and so voted unanimously. Discussion Items Gail Barnes - Residents Southport Development - Route 1 1/Old Barnstable Road Phase II Clearing and Related Issues The Chairman recognized Linda Fletcher, 28 Windward Street, Mashpee, M . Ms . Fletcher thanked the Board, on behalf of the residents of Southport, for the time and diligence extended on their behalf regarding their concerns . She reported on the success and producti-vity of a meeting with Mr. Bonvie and approximately 130 Southport residents at an open forum meeting on March 1th. As a result, Southport residents do -not feel the need to present their concerns to the Planning Board as Applicant has agreed to address all of their issues . Dennis Bal arini asked Ms . Fletcher about resident concerns regarding the clearing of land. Ms . Fletcher responded there had been concern regarding the clear cutting of the property and the ensuing related problems, including landscaping issues . The Chairman recognized Mr. Bonvie who stated the following for the Record. He explained the decision to cut the trees was a major decision involving the engineers and architects after having had many discu-ssions .
