Engineers have also located roadways, buildings, parking <br /> paths, ponds, tennis courts, amenity centers, and <br /> clubhouses in the field. <br /> Attorney Dunning expressed his appreciation for Board <br /> consideration regarding the issuance of occupancy permits . <br /> He also expressed his desire to cooperate with the Board in <br /> good faith in -order to address all issues and concerns, a <br /> did Mr. Bonie.. <br /> Dennis Bal arini mentioned resident concern regarding <br /> the -retaining wall/lacy of barrier, suggesting the- <br /> Developer address this safety issue. <br /> It was agreed the consulting Engineer should be <br /> contacted for suggestions in this regard. It was also <br /> determined that the wall was constructed in violation, as <br /> it does not appear -on the approved plans . <br /> The chairman clarified the safety issue should b <br /> addressed .immediately. However, the illegal structure may <br /> have to be modified. The Hoard has never granted approval <br /> of construction of said retaining wall . <br /> There being no -further Board discussion the chairman <br /> opened the floor to Public comment, recognizing the <br /> following speaker <br /> Linda Fletcher - Expressed her gratitude to the Board <br /> for their diligence and efforts in thi matter. she stated <br /> Southport residents have aE vest,ed interest in living in a <br /> safe community, as well as protecting their investments . <br /> She stated she and 'Others feel Southport is "the greatest <br /> place in the world' and has a lot to offer. They have all <br /> contributed a great deal of t-ime, effort, and energy to the <br /> project . <br /> She thanked Attorney Dunning and Mr. Bone, <br /> expressing her dope that everyone will be able to cooperate <br /> and work with one another in an attempt to move the project <br /> forward. <br /> (This ratter concluded at : 10 p.m. , at which point <br /> the Chairman declared a five-minute recess . ) <br /> The chairman reconvened the Planning Board Meeting at <br /> 8 : 15 p.m. <br /> 8 <br />
